MCA Pre-K4 ProgramThe primary purpose of our K-4 program is to help parents prepare their children for MCA’s Kindergarten program by providing extra time for appropriate skills development. Our program involves periods of structure, primarily when using instructional material from the A Beka K-4 program. Students work on letter and number recognition, phonics, counting, listening skills, number concepts, as well as the development of fine and gross motor skills. Singing, story time, snack time, crafts, learning centers, show and tell and games are employed to reinforce learning and to encourage the development of social skills. Bible time is a very special time that helps the children apply biblical character qualities such as kindness, sharing, obedience and self control to their everyday lives and further enhances social skills. The children have a rest time where they learn to respect the needs of others as well as get refreshed themselves. The school also provides after-care services for all grade levels for a nominal fee. Children at MCA will enjoy learning and will get off to a great start in school. They will find love and encouragement balanced with structure and discipline. Please Note:
MCA Kindergarten ProgramThe Kindergarten program at Maranatha Christian Academy is well structured and emphasizes a readiness and a hands-on-approach to academic subjects. The A-BEKA curriculum presents a Christian perspective. Your child will learn to assume personal responsibility in an environment of loving discipline and will be challenged to develop a high moral value system through the character-building curriculum. You and your child can develop an individual and personal relationship with your child’s teacher. Classrooms are self-contained with a ratio of one teacher to 14-18 students. This provides for strong, well-rounded academic instruction in subjects such as Bible, Letters and Sounds, Reading, Math, Writing, Heritage Studies, and Science. Extra-curricular classes, such as music, are taught by professional specialists. Please Note:
